“ Your Presence”

                by Kenny Fedder

Many years have passed on by since we first had our talk.

You made me feel so very loved, as I began my walk.

We talked about the way to live; your word should be my guide.

So little about the things I did, your arms stayed open wide.

Bring me into your presence Lord, to feel your touch again.

You wiped away my every tear and took away my sin.

The warmth of holy presence, the love in your embrace,

I long to sit beside you and see your smiling face.

Teach me to love the way you do, no motive there to hide.

Sit down and rest here with me and draw me to your side.

For near is where I want to be, I’ll have no sense of fear.

Just a calming peace within me, no one can hurt me here.

Cause I’m forever in your care, you promised that to me.

And I’m forever grateful, for how you set me free.

I know that there is work to do and future steps to take

To share the love you’ve given me, pain taken for my sake.

How do I show to others, your love will set them free?

So they can be the person that you need them to be.

Oh help me Lord to welcome, those near and far away

To step inside your presence and start a brand new day.

What’s done has been forgiven, with so much more to do.

No looking back at what was done, we’ll keep our eyes on you.

Then see a bright tomorrow, where wrongs get wiped away.

And walk within your presence, forever and always.
