“Come on In”
by Kenny Fedder
Come on in, it’s warm inside, step in out of the cold.
The storms are raging night and day, it’s probably getting old.
Stop trying to convince yourself, that all is going well.
Cause way down deep within your heart, sometimes it’s more like hell.
Like feeling that you’re all alone and no one really cares.
There’s only you and no one else, you have no place to share.
The stuff you’re feeling down inside and how it hurts to know.
You cannot fix this on your own, but don’t know where to go.
And feeling lost and broken is not a place to dwell.
Few choices stand in front of you and not so clear to tell.
The road to bring true happiness, with loved ones by your side.
Well, there’s a house with smiling faces and arms held open wide.
Where people say, “I’ve been there too and not so long ago.”
Sit down my friend, I’ll show you, the pathway that I know.
I have a friend who loves me; He’ll hold you by the hand.
He promises to stay with you through trials small and grand.
Christ suffered pain upon a cross and died to set you free.
From all you’ve done or ever do, to all you hope to be.
Come live within my shelter, a home that we can share.
And never be alone again, we’ve friends to help us bear.
The ups and downs that we call life with the one who’s Lord above.
Yet here to guide and teach us, about amazing love.
