“Deeper Eyes”
by Kenny Fedder
\
Oh there’s this little woman,
With eyes as dark as coal.
She’s got a way; she’s got a look,
To brighten up your soul.
Her appearance speaks of beauty,
Her movements sing of grace.
With dark brown hair that hugs her head
And flows across her face.
Her smiling cheeks, they warm you up,
Her laugh, it helps you see.
The love that’s hiding there inside,
Just waiting to be freed.
But there’s a deeper beauty,
At first you may not see.
Her smile says you’re welcome here
And you can talk to me.
Her arms were meant to hug a friend,
That needs someone to care.
Her words are spoken softly,
Her joy she wants to share.
So if you see this friend of mine,
Oh stop and say hello.
Cause she’s really something special
Someone you’ll want to know.
And looking with new deeper eyes,
Well maybe then you’ll see.
A deeper kind of beauty,
Someone you’ll want to be.
