“ Your Voice “
by Kenny Fedder
You made me in your likeness and looking for a trace
Of who you are and what you’ve done, I found amazing grace.
I have this heart that can believe, a mind to understand,
You made us for relationships, to hold each other’s hand.
With eyes to see your glory and ears to hear your words,
A voice to sing your praises, about what I have heard.
There are times I’ve felt your presence, I know you’re here with me.
With nature all around me, that shows your majesty.
And yet I long to hear your voice, I’ll listen for my name.
I know there are others like me; we’re nearly all the same
Created in your image, I want to learn and grow
Then give you back for all you’ve done, my gratitude to show
And still I want to hear your voice, some special words for me.
Small visions of your wisdom are only what I see.
I know your loving nature, the splendor from your hands,
But how you gave your son to die, it’s hard to understand.
Oh someday you will call me home and then I’ll hear your voice.
Until that day I’ll do my best, I’m glad I made the choice,
To love and worship you my Lord, for what you’ll do and done.
I’m glad that you’re the father, of this unworthy son.
