“Whispers”
by Kenny Fedder
Not in the Clashing thunder or waves crashing on the shore.
In the morning dew on the grass, that melts and is no more.
Same way our sins are present, yet hidden in the night.
Our memories may linger on, but taken from His sight.
Not in the raging fires or the howling of the wind.
In the morning glory flower, that opens up and then
It shows the world its wonder; but has no words to say.
While the sun wakes up its beauty, it shouts to greet the day.
Not in the earth that moves and shakes or melting rocks with steam.
In the stillness of a misty rain or the trickling of a stream.
I see majesty from nature, while stars above me shine.
And in the cooling summer breeze, He whispers, “you are mine”.
Then I wait again for silence and hear the whisper “come
And see with eyes wide open, what I’ve already done”.
There’s beauty all around me, so reverently I pray.
Kneeling to listen carefully and then I hear Him say.
“I made all this for you my child, to show you that I’m here
I sent my Son to give you life and joy that you must share”.
So listen for His whispers while you hear creation sing.
Be still and wait in silence, while the bells of nature ring.
