” Breeze ”
by Kenny Fedder
Our lives are ships on journeys, from one land to another.
We watch the waves go rolling by, from one shore to the other.
Sometimes sitting in sad remembrance, of wasted days gone by.
Hate our lives for what it’s been, then hang our heads and cry.
Don’t look at life like that my friend; let’s take a different slant.
Examine to see what life can bring, not what you did or can’t.
Grab the wheel and steer the ship, wind blowing in your face.
Then set sail into your future, step up to run the race.
Stare straight ahead to what’s in store, stop dwelling on your past.
For life’s too short for yesterdays, you’ll learn it moves quite fast.
Use the breeze to help you sail; cause rowing is such a chore.
Your hands will bleed from holding on; your arms will get so sore.
So when God’s gentle breezes blow, lean back enjoy the days.
And thank the Lord for being there, beside you all the way.
Remember friends that helped you row, when waves began to roar.
They helped you safely through the rocks, to reach the sandy shore.
From where you began your journey friend, should matter not to you.
It’s never where you’re coming from; it’s where you’re going to…
