“ Get er Done”
by Kenny Fedder
I think I’ll do this job myself, it’s calling out my name.
I’m not waiting for someone else and you may feel the same.
I’m just not one for putting off what really should be done.
My daddy said, “Finish your work, then go and have some fun”.
And I get real satisfaction, when doing things this way.
It keeps my thoughts from spinning round, rested I greet each day.
So, is work an obligation, or simply just a chore,
A task that’s here for me to do or really so much more.
Whatever kind of work I do, I’ll need to do it right.
See, I am never far away; I’m always in His sight.
When doing what’s expected, I get a sense of pride.
The work is for my Father; His spirit lives inside.
Each jobs a challenge sent my way and only takes awhile.
I’ll step right up and “Get er Done”, then look on up and smile.
