” On and On “
by Kenny Fedder
You placed me in my mother’s womb and sent me on my way.
To live with love and laughter, the dawning of my days.
At birth I had fresh air to breathe, my eyes were given sight.
With colors all around me, the future broad and bright.
So much to learn, so much to do, where do I go from here?
I’m the center of attention; of course I have no fear.
Cause the world revolves around me, in all I do and say.
Then I learn that there’s another, to whom I need to pray,
For He’s the maker of all things, the one who made things right.
The one I could rely on, I had no need for fright.
And so my life went on and on, so much to learn and do.
With thoughts of helping others, no time to sit and brew.
For as I grew I saw some things, where I could fit right in
To use my gifts and talents, not spread myself too thin.
And so my life went on and on and now I’m in my prime.
While things just happen as they do, no reason or no rhyme?
With fewer moments spending time, to worship you my King.
Yet friends will always need to talk, about their everything.
How will I share my time with you, to show that you’re the one?
To prove my gratitude for all, you’ll ever do and done.
Until the day you call me home, for then my race is won.
And I’ll forever praise your name; while life goes on and on.
