Oh, I’m the man you see today, but really so much more.

I’m mom and daddy’s little boy, who wanted just to soar.

I’m part of everyone I’ve know, who taught me right from wrong.

And I’m the guy who loves to sing, come teach me one new song.

I’m the one who learned to cry, for those who loose so much.

I’m glad to lend a helping hand, someone who needs my touch.

I’ll smile and laugh with all my friends, that live within my heart.

I’m honey though I’m not from bees, not brilliant, but I’m smart.

I’m papa who likes holding hands and tickles when he can.

I’m dad to those I’ve fathered and to some who need a plan.

I’m friends to oh so many, there’s one behind each door.

And everyday I spend on earth, I’ll likely make one more.

I’m husband to my sweetie, who’s love is oh so dear.

With a laugh that you will notice, unless you cannot hear.

I’m a child who has a Father, that loves me , this I know.

Because He sent His Son for me, to tell me it was so.

And I’m the one He blessed each day, with joy within my soul.

To share God’s love and mercy, to all who need to know.

I’m all I’d ever hoped to be, yet want to be much more.

Till time will finally pass me by and I’ll have wings to soar.
