” ANTICIPATION “

         Have you ever been there waiting, for love to come along?

Eager anticipation, to find that special song.

The one that feels just perfect and fits you to a tee.

Not exactly knowing when, but wanting it to be.

And then it happens quickly, before your very eyes.

You realize that they’re the one, you didn’t even try

To stop words spoken to your heart, you listened to them all.

The music played so perfectly, you answered to the call.

Loving eyes and gentle smiles, we both seen at first sight.

They felt a kindred spirit, a place that felt just right.

Those two people stand before you, who met that sunny day.

Not expecting what had happened, but glad they found the way

To love and life with laughter, the treasured road to grace

Now walking down their pathway, with smiles on their face.

Anticipating what will be, knowing only of their love.

What will life bring, not really sure, destined in stars above?

Well when you love another, your will takes second place.

Your desire is to please them; your pride gives way to grace.

Not looking at what you can do, to give yourself a break

Or finding out what works for you, there must be give and take.

So just like in the movies, they met that special one.

They both have felt our Father’s love, who gave His only Son.

       And brought these two together, to witness of His grace.

Riding forth through wind and rain, guiding  them to this place.

So they can testify today, that true love comes along.

Sometimes with perfect music, to make that special song.
