” TEARS “

by Kenny Fedder

Rain was pouring on my head, while I could almost feel.

A sense of sorrow in the air, the sadness seemed so real.

The taste of tears then hit my tongue and I could hear a cry.

It was as though a strangers tears were falling from MY eyes.

And then I heard a murmur, a sorrow in my ear.

As if an Angel whispering was saying ” listen here,

Living inside your mirror, you rarely ever share.

People living their lives alone, while nobody seems to care.

You walk around and never see the darkness in their eyes.

They’ll never feel God’s tender love, if you don’t realize.

Your smile sends a message, you’re more than welcome here.

Then listen to their troubles and wipe away those tears.

Touch your world in some small way, by holding someone’s heart.

And if they need a helping hand, step up and do your part.”

I said ” You’re right for I’ve been blessed so what else can we do,

But celebrate by giving back, what’s been given me and you.”

Let’s wipe away those Angel tears with deeds so warm and sweet.

Then share that love inside your heart, with everyone you meet.

Sometimes I still hear Angel’s cry from things we’ve not yet done.

I believe they know we’re trying, the battles not yet won.

Let’s work to stop the sadness, it’s up to you and me.

To point the darkness to the light so everyone can see.
