“SURRENDER “
by Kenny Fedder
A darkness fills the evening, I need to feel your grace.
Waves are crashing all around me, wind roaring in my face.
My world is crumbling at my feet, with trouble everywhere.
I’m looking, searching for a friend, does anybody care?
I’m restless, cold and angry, I can hardly catch my breath.
I’m fading, waiting all alone, it feels to me like death.
So I call out for your mercy, I scream out loud in pain.
Lord bring your love to me again, in showers of sweet rain.
Take this tired body Lord and fill it with your power.
Then take this heart that’s weary and use this very hour.
To help me trust your holy word believing all you say.
You’ll bring me my tomorrows You’re here for my today’s.
The roaring winds are dying down, the crashing waves subside.
A calming spirit enters in, the morning sun will rise,
I feel your Holy presence Lord, a peace within my soul.
Cause you’re the source of my hope, the part that makes me whole.
So I’ll lay my head on something real and sleep with you tonight.
For you’re the one that gives me rest, while fears are given flight.
Once being alone and hopeless, mercy holds me like a glove.
So I fall into your loving arms and surrender to your love.
