” The Tie That Binds ”

Families have a bond from blood, while friends come from our soul.
Both bind us ever closer and help to make us whole.
Cause spending time together means enjoying everyday.
No matter what we’re doing, whatever comes our way.
And when we see each other, there’s smiles with arms held wide.
It’s like we’ve never been apart, we never left their side.
When families love and friendships reign, hugs remove our inward pain,
Whether we’re standing or kneeling, no tears are shed in vain.
Cause when we’re burdened, in despair, needing comfort, needing care
We know to trust Him at His word; we give it up in prayer.
We’re all made for relationships to touch each others lives
To be the conscience, hands and feet, to see through our brothers eyes.
For we have a loving father, a comforter and friend.
And they will never leave our side, from first breath to the end.
Now you know where love comes from; examples have been set.
It started oh so long ago, before we all first met.
Same blood Christ shed flows through our veins; it is the tie that binds
And helps us love Him in return with our body, soul and mind.
