” HERE I AM “

Lord, here I am again today remembering my life.

Years and years of happiness, mixed in with times of strife.

But in those days of sorrow, amid the clouds and rain,

My faith and love grew stronger, in spite of tears and pain.

Because I know the promise which you have given me.

No matter where life brought me, I knew that’s where you’d be.

Quietly saying ” Here I am “, it’s time we have a talk.

About the path you’re taking, the turns along your walk.

I know you want the best for me and never leave my side.

I feel your presence and your love, with arms held open wide.

So here I am , just like you, trying to find our way.

Listening for God’s messages and what His word will say.

Facing the struggles in our walk, some different from our past.

Our daily lives have changed so much, the race is moving fast.

While challenges still face me now, at times my life is hard.

But knowing you have plans for me, I play with different cards.

For You oh Lord remain unchanged, your word is still the same.

So I’ll stand here in your presence and call upon your name.

The name above all other names, the rock on which I stand.

A firm foundation holding fast and say Lord ” Here I am

Make your thoughts my very own and use my gifts and skills.

Guide them as I walk with you, to do things as you will.”
