A light that glows inside her eyes; the laughter and the smiles.
Reminds me why my heart still beats through joy and through our trials.
The fact that you stand beside me means you are here to stay.
Whatever may befall us; whatever comes our way.
Well, long ago a friend of mine had a phrase that he would use:
” Keep it sweet and keep it short or the audience you’ll loose.”
But that also works in marriage, when you’re looking for a mate.
Appearance helps the attraction but their spirit sets the date.
She’s keeper of our family hearts, restorer of the love.
Hand in hand we work in sync without a kick or shove.
So much the same yet different; she’s the brain and I’m the brawn.
Her mind is working day and night, spinning from dust to dawn.
With a heart of gold for others to make a better day.
For family and friends needing help or hugs along the way.
A special way she looks at life, there seems no fear at all.
Just doing what is needed, such strength for one so small.
Yet a love so warm and tender, it makes my own heart melt.
Feelings heat up my emotions, the best I’ve ever felt.
She has a motherly patience, I’ll never understand.
Silence while waiting for results, God never gave this man.
But it’s really been the three of us, the Lord and her and me.
Receiving grace we needed, now through eternity.
Fifty done and fifty to go to make my life complete.
With only fifty seven inches from her head down to her feet.
She’s my special love and confidant, my lover and my friend.
Praying holding hands and kisses, will never, ever end.
God gave me a life long partner to love and cherish so….
I believe I may just keep her, no chance I’ll let her go.
Oh, my, goodness. This just takes your breath away. Love it!! What a kind and loving way to think of your soul mate! You two are so blessed!
