“GOOD HANDS”

By Kenny Fedder

With His two hands Christ healed the sick

and lifted up the lame.

They raised His friend up from the grave,

through Him death has no claim.

Hands washed the filthy feet of men,

a pattern set for me.

They also mixed His spit with dirt,

to help the blind to see.

Hands held a stone meant to condemn

and asked have you not sinned?

At supper blessed the bread and wine,

to say remember Him.

Raised hands prayed to His Father,

to request the cup to pass.

They blessed the fish and loaves of bread,

for hundreds on the grass.

Hands beckoned little children close,

then drew them to His side.

Same hands were nailed upon the cross,

with arms held open wide.

Christ’s hands were used to serve the lost,

 the broken and the weak.

They matched the very words He spoke,

the example we should seek.

To be His hands and His feet,

to spread good news around.

Speaking grace and love and mercy,

without a single sound.

We are His “good hands” people,

taught by God’s only Son.

A path He’s laid to follow,

by everything He’s done.
