– Destination Known –

                       by Kenny Fedder

I know who mom and dad were, the genes from which I came.

While friends and family molded me, they’re really not to blame.

With all the lessons taught me, the knowledge from each day,

Plus little things I learned myself, I’ve nothing else to say.

Except I’m really just a farmer who reaps the crop he sowed.

Who learned to treat his fellow man, with full respect and so

I can be the kind of father, brother, friend or son

Who God has raised me up to be, though clearly not the sum

Of skills and talents given me, to be my very own

To use them for the greater good, the verdict still unknown.

But I’ve accepted holy grace, to help me do my best

And strive to be the kind of man, a step above the rest.

Then show the grace that I received, so many are the ways

To all the people I may meet, throughout my earthly days.

He made me for a purpose and someday I’ll go home

And see my Lord and Savior, my destination known.
