Wrong Song

     by Kenny Fedder

Ever sang the words to a song you’ve heard a hundred times

Only Later to find your words were wrong or didn’t even rhyme?

Sometimes our lives go on and on; the tune plays like a song.

And we move forward not knowing that what we said was wrong.

Then you learn there are different words; you have a brand new look.

You’ve heard that story many times and now they changed the book.

And knowing there’s a different way, where do I go from here?

While changes might be really good, they also bring some fear.

Cause once I know what’s right from wrong, I need to keep in mind

That while I have a choice to make, my wheels must learn to grind.

What‘s really right, what’s really wrong, where do I go to find

Some common sense or reasons why, to help it all unwind?

Do you feel just like you’re swimming and want to reach the shore?

Or talking to a conscience, that wasn’t there before?

Well sit and take a moment and bow your head to pray.

Then ask the one who made you, what He may have to say.

While waiting there in reverence, just tell Him how you feel

No special words required; you need to keep it real.

He’ll take away those wasted days, the actions that were wrong.

Then teach you words you’ve never heard; you’ll learn a brand new song.

A song we call Amazing Grace, a gift that sets us free.

From everything we’ve ever done, to all we’ll ever be.
