” THE KING “
by Kenny Fedder
Within my heart, oh I believe and with my mouth confess.
I serve a King, who came to bring me love and happiness.
What kind of King, what kind of man would die there all alone?
Would suffer on the cross for me, to claim me for His own.
He gave me not what I should have, He gave me grace instead.
For death is what we all deserve, while life is what we get.
If justice is what God desires, why do mercy we receive?
Who is this King who came for me, how can some not believe?
He knows the secrets of our hearts, yet cares so much for you.
That God would send His only Son, to pay for all you’ll do.
What kind of man, what kind of King, would die upon a tree?
To prove He loved me Oh so much, then arose to set me free.
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who takes me by the hand.
To walk with me and talk with me, then guide me through life’s sand.
Removing sin and all my shame, then lives inside of me.
‘Til I go home to live with Him, for all eternity.
Great job Kenny, an awesome poem. Love you Brother.
